Baluster vases decorated in famille verte overglaze enamels to depict Shoulao, the Daoist god of longevity, surrounded by attendants, young boys, deer, cranes, and bats, all auspicious symbols of longevity for many generations. The four scholarly objects including a chessboard, lute, book and scroll paintings adorn the trumpet neck. Unmarked bases. Approx.19 by 8 in., 48.3 by 20.3 cm.
