19th century, Tongzhi period. The porcelain plates with an imperial yellow ground, decorated with an iron red central roundel of a dragon chasing a gold flaming pearl, with twelve iron red shou knots of longevity, twelve Buddhist sauvastikas and twelve auspicious bats, with four roundels decorated in famille rose enamels to depict people in landscape settings, the rim with overglaze gold band, the reverse decorated with three famille rose floral sprigs, on a circular foot ring, with four character "jixiang ruyi" mark to the base. Each approx. 1 1/4 by 7 1/2 in. diam., 3.2 by 19 cm. diam.
