A Transitional 'Hatcher Cargo' Kraak Bowl, Ming
c. 1640. The small blue and white porcelain eight-sided bowl on a tall foot ring, decorated with the flowers of the four seasons-- prunus (winter), orchid (spring), lotus (summer) and chrysanthemum (fall)-- recovered from the Hatcher Shipwreck of 1640.
