An Imperial Yellow Dragon Dish, Guangxu Mark and Period
Late 19th century, Guangxu period, Qing dynasty. A small imperial yellow dish on a foot ring with short rounded sides, the center incised with two five-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl among flame-like clouds, one painted in aubergine, the other and the clouds in green. The exterior decorated with aubergine and green grape clusters and leaves. Six character black Guangxu mark arranged in two lines to base. Approx. 1 1/8 by 5 1/8 in., 3 by 13 cm.
