A Pair of White Peking Glass Jars with Green Overlay
19th century, Qing dynasty. The pair of white glass ginger jars of squat ovoid form with short, narrow necks and domed covers, all with green overlay. The bodies decorated with a phoenix perched on peony branches and song birds among plum branches. A ruyi head border encircles the necks. The lids are decorated with peony sprays. On recessed foot-rings. Approx. 5 � by 5 in., 14 by 12.7 cm.
