A Chinese Gilt Bronze Diliang Hu Ritual Vessel
Han dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). The ritual vessel of a compressed pear form body with gold inlaid squares decoration, with taotie masks holding ring handles attached to chain links joined by a curved handle with opposing lion heads. Provenance: From the collection of a prominent American military official stationed in Singapore in the mid-20th century.
