A Small Bronze "Four Phoenixes" Mirror, Han Dynasty
Western Han Dynasty (206 BC- 9 AD). The circular blackened bronze, cast with a central pierced knob encircled by four phoenixes between four raised bosses contained within hatched borders below the plain rim. Provenance: From the collection of a prominent American military official stationed in Singapore in the mid-20th century.
