Jasper and Quartz Agate Snuff Bottles
Late 19th and early 20th centuries, Qing dynasty and later. Two snuff bottles. The first is a Qing dynasty red jasper stone snuff bottle of flattened oval form resting on a raised oval foot. With a red Peking glass stopper, brass collar and spoon. The other, a 20th century bottle, is quartz agate of flattened round form resting on a raised oval foot with magenta and white banding and natural crystallization. With a red Peking glass stopper set in a brass collar with spoon. From the Christian Collection, Middleborough, MA. Largest approx. 2 7/8 by 1 1/2 in., 7.4 by 4 cm.
