Song dynasty (960-1279). The gently curved dish incised to the center with a freely drawn lotus flower spray with curling stems and leaves, the exterior carved with two rows of petal lappets, covered overall with a white glaze pooling in the recesses, with copper metal wrapped rim left unglazed for firing.
