A Japanese Pen and Inkwell Set with Purse
19th/20th century. A travelling scribe's copper pen and inkwell set, the top to the flattened circular well revealing the compartment for the brush and paper cutter, unadorned save for the small silver endcap, together with a silk brocade purse with silvered mirror. The purse approx. 3 in. by 6 1/4 in., 7.5 cm by 15.6 cm.
