A Chinese Blue and White Vase with Sinuous Dragon
The ceramic vase with underglaze blue decoration featuring a sinuous five-toed dragon chasing the flaming pearl, the shoulder with clouds and a stylized phoenix to each side, the base of the vessel depicts waves, complete with sticker for "Bluett & Sons/ London" to the bottom and a second sticker inside the lip of the vessel for the Oriental Ceramic Society. Provenance: Exhibited at the Oriental Ceramic Society in the 1950s. Approx. 14 1/2 by 8 in. diam., 36.8 by 20.4 cm. diam.
