A Small Bronze Statue of Sitting Buddha
18th century. The cast bronze statue of Buddha sitting in padmasana position with hands in dharmachakra mudra, or "Gesture of Teaching," with elongated earlobes, tightly coiled hair and ushnisha, hollow bottom of statue is covered with additional bronze plate, with a floral medallion to the base. Approx. 5 1/2 by 4 in., 14 by 10.5 cm.
