A Qingbai Porcelain Lotus Cup and Stand
Song Dynasty (960-1279). The small bowl-shaped cup on a tall flaring foot ring with a molded lotus petal exterior, covered all over in a white glaze with a slight green tinge pooling in the recesses, mouth rim unglazed. The cup stand with raised central ring, flaring sides, hexalobed rim, on a tall flaring foot ring, covered in glaze to match cup. Provenance: Ex-collection of Robert H. Ellsworth, previously sold at Skinner's Sale 2528B on December 3, 2010, lot #1111. Cup approx. 2 1/8 by 3 1/8 in. diam., 5.5 by 8 cm. diam. Stand approx. 1 � by 5 � in. diam., 3.2 by 13.4 cm. diam.
