19th century, Qing dynasty. The jar with a flaring foot rising to a high, wide shoulder and narrowing to a short, straight neck, decorated in polychrome overglaze enamels to depict women and boys in a landscape. With a pierced and carved wood lid. Unmarked base. With lid, approx. 15 1/2 by 9 1/2 in., 39.5 by 24 cm.
