A Japanese Bronze Sculpture of a Man Hunting

Early 20th century, Meiji period. A man with a rifle, carry two birds in one hand and a hog tied over his shoulder. He wears a simple robe with a grass cape, solemn expression on his bearded face, his hair pulled back in a knot with shaved forelocks. Approx. 24 by 11 1/4 in., 61 by 28.5 cm.
