A Chinese Brass Box
Late 19th century, Qing dynasty. The oval shaped box incised to one side to depict two women in a garden reading books, the other with a lengthy inscription. The cover topped with four scholarly objects in relief between two borders. Approx. 3 by 3 1/4 in., 7.5 by 8.3 cm.
