A Chinese Glass Snowflake Snuff Bottle
19th century. The snuff bottle of flattened round form, with green and white glass overlay on a snowflake ground, one side carved to show a bird on a rock, the reverse carved to show a dog chained to a pillar, with inscription to each shoulder, on an oval foot ring, with a green peking glass top, stopper and brass collar and spoon. From the Christian Collection, Middleborough, MA. Approx. 3 1/4 by 2 in., 8.1 by 5 cm.
