A Pair of Chinese Famille Rose 'Jia Chang' Cups
The deep U-shaped bodies finely painted with the scene of Jia Chang stamping his left foot to call the chickens in a setting of blue rocks and peonies, the boy depicted facing the rooster while the hen and four chicks are shown to the reverse beneath a poetic inscription about chickens. Six character underglaze blue Qianlong mark to bases. Approx. 2 � by 3 1/16 in. diam., 6.3 by 7.8 cm.
