A Pair of Chinese Ding Ware Vases

14th century, Yuan (1271-1368) or early Ming (1368-1644) dynasty. Each vase with elegant pear-shaped body rising to a tall neck and a flared lipped mouth, on short foot rings, incised to the body with expressive lotus meander, covered in a translucent white glaze pooling in the recesses and stopping above the unglazed foot rings. Provenance: From the Estate of Patrick H. Booth, Jr. Each approx. 7 by 3 1/2 in., 17.6 by 9 cm.
