A Pair of Chinese Blue and White Dragon Vases
19th century, Qing dynasty. The vases with globular bodies and tall narrow necks and wide out-turned rims, painted in underglaze blue, featuring a pair of five-clawed dragons flying amongst clouds chasing the flaming pearl above a splashing water band around the base, with ruyi-shaped cloud pattern and banana leaf bands circling the neck and lip, honorific six character Qianlong reign mark to bases. Approx. 8 by 4 1/8 in., 20.2 by 10.5 cm.
