Mandarin ducks live in pairs and mate for live and are thus symbolic of a happy marriage, by swimming among lotus flowers it is a wish that the couple will be blessed with many sons. Lappet borders around the foot and shoulder with additional lotus flowers on the necks. Unmarked bases. Approx. 9 3/4 by 3 3/4 in., 24.8 by 9.5 cm.
