Yun Shouping (1633-1690), Landscape Fan Leaf
17th century, late Ming or early Qing dynasty. Ink on paper, fan leaf mounted on silk. Yun Shouping was a well-known painter during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties who was skilled in flower painting. This painting depicts a landscape featuring bamboo and rocks, a scholarly subject, reflecting the painter's demeanor. Poem, inscription stating the painting was a gift for a Daoist, and artist?s seal to the upper right. Approx. 7 by 19 1/2 in., 17.8 by 49.5 cm.
