Qin Xuanfu (1906-1998), Beihai Fengjing
Oil on canvas, framed. This painting depicts the Scenery of Beihai, in Guangxi province, with pine trees against open fields, signature to lower left. Qin Xuanfu studied oil painting in France during the 1930's and returned to China to teach at Qinghua University. His paintings were exhibited alongside those of Xu Beihong and Fu Baoshi in 1946. Approx. 14 1/4 by 21 in., 36.3 by 53.5 cm.
