Wu Xiaoren (act. 20th c.), Fan with Landscape
1939. Ink and color on paper folding fan leaf mounted on bamboo ribs. On one side is a poem written by Wu Xiaoren, a poet and calligrapher of 20th century, during the summer of 1939, about living a reclusive life among mountains, signature and seal to left. The other side depicts an ink and color landscape painting, imitating works of Dai Xi (Lulin Jushi) (1801 ? 1860), inscription and two seals to left. Approx. 12 by 17 1/2 in., 30.5 by 44.5 cm.
