A Large Han Dynasty Astronomical Bronze Mirror
Han Dynasty (206 BC- 220 AD). The circular astronomical mirror of silvered bronze, set to the center within a sunken octofoil is a central pierced knob encircled by twelve flat discs within a hatched border, the outer field cast with a band of archaic characters within hatched border below the plain rim. Approx. 6 1/2 in. diam., 16.5 cm.
