Xiao Xun (1883-1944), Autumn Landscape Fan Leaf
Early 20th century. Ink and color on paper, fan leaf, mounted in silk. Xiao Xun, a native of Anhui province who lived and worked in Beijing, was a student of Chen Hengke (Chen Shizeng). This fan leaf depicts a hermit walking in the mountains to return home, or to visit a close friend. Painter?s inscription and seal to upper left. Approx. 7 1/4 by 19 3/4 in., 18.5 by 50.2 cm.
