A Chinese Bronze Mirror, Tang Dynasty
Tang Dynasty (618-907). The circular silvered bronze mirror cast with a pierced central knob encircled by a five petal flower within a circle and surrounded by six open floral roundels, within a raised rim. Provenance: From the collection of a prominent American military official stationed in Singapore in the mid 20th Century. Exhibited: College of William & Mary, Exhibition of Chinese Bronze Art held by the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies Department, 2000. Approx. 6 3/4 in. diam., 17.2 cm. diam.
