A Chinese Kesi Rank Badge
19th century, Qing dynasty. The front panel badge made for the wife of an officer of the seventh rank, depicting a mandarin duck alighting on a rock above waves and a lishui stripe and surrounded by the eight Daoist Immortal attributes and other emblems amidst clouds. Approx. 11 � by 11 � in., 28.5 by 29.2 cm.
