19th Century Embroidered Women's Dragon Collar

19th century, Qing dynasty. A dark blue silk women?s collar with a gold and dark blue brocade border, the main field decorated with facing dragons in couched gold thread, chasing a flaming pearl among satin stitched lingzhi shaped clouds, surrounded by a borders of couched gold thread, the area in between depicting satin stitched waves crashing against rocks and bats flying among lingzhi clouds. Two small ruyi-heads with forbidden knot stitch. Mounted in a frame. Approx. 12 1/4 by 34 1/2 in., 31 by 87.5 cm.
